Blog Review

Fed Sendy Jn Baptiste My personal thanks go out to all members of the groups for these presentations. The presentations were very enjoyable for me. In my opinion, presenting is one of the best ways to learn and discover, being able to discover from the speakers and other attendees is a rewarding experience for me as an attendee. The speakers presented their ideas in a logical order, showed a good command of the language, demonstrate excellent communication skills when expressing thoughts and opinions, and displayed a good understanding of how to interpret images and videos during presentations. The class was divided into three groups and the topics are as the following, “Intercultural communication, Communication in groups, and Group leadership and problem-solving”. My group was the first to present Intercultural communication, an examination of the relationship between culture and communication. It was an appealing presentation; I learned a great deal concerning it. The purp...

Alexandra Blanco       The group to go up first was my group we presented on September 1, 2022, Thursday about chapter 3 which was on intercultural communications. Our group consisted of 12 members Amy, Andres, Brian, Christie-Anne, Daniel, Daniela B, Daniela H, Denise, Emanuel, Fred, Gabriela, and me. Here I enjoyed the communication and the effort we all made to get everything together in the shortest amount of time. I am happy with how the presentation came out and with the feedback we received. Everyone in the group did terrifically and a big shout-out to the group leader, Daniela B, who was there to help everyone when she could. I remember that even till the last moment we were trying to help each other out with our nerves and make sure everything will go on smoothly. I'm happy I got put in this group and will be working with them on other projects/presentations.       After my group went the next group to go up was group 2. They Presen...

Blog Review Amy Estopinan

Amy Estopinan   9/27/2022   Professor-   Sinkoff   Speech 1017   Presentation Blog This was a great learning experience an d a good w ay to work as a grou p in order to create a presentation. At first, I was very nervous to work on a group project online because they are usually done face to face in a classroom. To my surprise this project has taught me different ways to communicate as a group and help each other when we get stuck on a topic. As a group member in group one I feel like we really brought our presentation together as a group. The appearance of our presentatio n definitely broug ht some excitement to our presentation which intern made the experience for the viewers more exiting and enjoyable. As the first group to present we did have less amount of time to complete this presentation than the other group which became a little overwhelming for some of us. However, we were able to work as a group and get our topics down on the deadline. ...

Daniela Hernandez - Review

Speech class is one of the most underrated yet most influential classes that any college or university has to offer. I took a look at four college presentations (including one I have worked on), and saw several topics that I found to be very interesting yet important in todays time. The presentations informed me about Intercultural Communication, Communicating In Groups, Group Leadership and Problem Solving, and a very good Review Presentation given by the group leaders.  Taking a look at the first group's presentation, I instantly liked the overall look and flow of the presentation. Everyone spoke well, clear and used their time efficiently. This not only allowed for all eleven people to present without being in a rush, but allowed for the presenters to properly execute their presentation. Although one of the group members did not really participate, the rest of the members overcame and were able to have a good presentation. In my opinion, the first slide could have ...

The Presentation Experience

Intercultural Communication        It was the start of the Fall 2022 college term, it had only been the second week of classes, we were assigned a group presentation in my speech class already. Our presentation was assigned to chapters 3, 9, and 10, and there were three groups. My group was group 1, we received chapter 3 as our presentation, the group was composed of twelve people, including me. I met my new classmates and we hit it off as we all collaborated well and we each were able to do our parts and assist one another whenever we were stuck on something. The chapter we were assigned was about intercultural communication, we decided to separate the subtopics and the main topics of each page to present the chapter. We each chose the topics we were interested in and did outside research on our chosen topics to further expand our knowledge about the subject and to be able to present it professionally. Since this was a speech class, we thoroughly searc...

The Review: Daniela Benitez

Group One As the first group that had to present, we were quite nervous, yet everything turned out great. This was the first couple of weeks of class and neither of us really knew each other . We match the work as a team and each takes care of all the parts of this project and presentation. Our team even went through some steps of problem-solving when it came to covering for a group member that did not take part. Our chapter was on intercultural communication. Our group spoke about distinct cultures and assorted co-cultures that people may i dentify themselves as in how there is a dominant culture, yet we can all stray away from that or be part of it. Our group also talked about cultural identity and how it differs from person to person. Our group broke down everything from ethnicities, sex and gender, religion, and things that divide us when we communicate. Although our day-to-day life is drastically different because of our social, and economic status or what we choose ...
