2nd Presentations

In these presentations, the groups were assigned different topics. For example, the 1st group, my group, had Health care and education. The 2nd group had racial divide and economy, and the 3rd group had immigration, law and order. Each topic is relevant to us and events going on in the world, America, or our state. All the topics are very informative and I know that each presentation will have there own way of informing us.

First group who presented on Oct. the 25th was group 3. Their presentation was about "Why elections matter in democracy." Their topics were Immagration and law and order. There are ten people in the group that consist of Lizette Carbonell, Melany Garcia, Melody Garcia, Mya Torres, Nicole Nunez, Priscilla Velazquez, Tyler Downie, Yeni Brusto, Lila Morales, and Marcia Fernandez. The group started of with Lizette talking about the intro. The first slide was on the description of the topics. There is the indrocution that gives a brief explanation of what the presentation will be about. The history of anti immigration laws, a list and background information. Then statistics, Immagration stats like percentages of people that actually become citizens etc. Then how laws affect citizenship, if it is harder or easier to gain citizenship. Then citizenship, what is it and how to get it. Then immigration laws in the past, how the immigration laws were before. then immigration laws now, how are the laws now in days. Then the comparisons of immigration laws, how the immigration laws were before like for instance some that may not exist anymore. Then the government, how the government can affect the process so people have a better time with coming over to the U.S. Then Views of the government, how certain elected officials see immigration. Lastly the outro where they sum up all that was said in the perivous points.

Overall I enjoyed their presentation, the group was very organized and very informative. I liked the layout of their presentation. Eveyones slides had a lot of information and some talked more then what they had written. The theme of the slides where pretty with a pink sunset with hills in the back, It was all very cute. They had very good descriptions on the topics, They had excellent background information, I found it interesting and important to understand immigration. I really did enjoy seeing their presentation and learning new things.

The next group to present which presented on Oct. the 27th was group 2. Their presentation is on racial divide and economy. Group 2 started off with showing the groups brochure. The brochure talked about the race income gap, the Hispanic discrimination, and year women received equal voting rights. Then they talked about the history of the American economy, they have a few bullet points of information on the subject. Then they talked about overview of Money in American Politics and also gave a few bullet points on the subject. Then they talked on America vs World economy, in this slide there was a picture that you see that America has the largest economy in the world according to the GDP (Gross Domestic Product). In the picture you see how the U.S has 20.49T or 23.89%. Then there is local that talks about the American economic association, then national association for business economics, and world economics association. Then there was racial divide what it means and research importance. Racial divide is an ongoing series from U.S news and world report that takes a deep, unfiltered look at race relations in America and how inequality intersects with health care, education, the criminal justice system, finance, and more. Then there is local & national associations and organisations. There is a list of the top 5 worst countries for racial equality which are Bulgaria, Slovakia, Qatar, South Korea, and Israel. There is also a list of top 5 countries for racial equality which are Netherland, Sweden, Norway, Canada, and Finland. Then there is racial Divide on a national sale. Then the last slide is on the info on Florida Senate Candidates where they talked about Val Demings and Marco Rubio.

Overall their presentation was also very organized and full of information. Each person went above and beyond not just reading off the slides but also providing more information. The slides were well put. They also put a lot of pictures and charts and graphs. Eveything was week organized and they understood the topic well. Racial divide is a hard topic to research and an even harder one to talk about. It is fascinating to see how two candidates for Florida have different point of views. I never realized how much history and time there was that went behind all these processes. I also really did enjoy seeing their presentation and learning new things.

The last group to present was ours, group 1, we presented on nov. 1st. Our presentation was on education and healthcare. Each person in the group did amazing, we all were communicating through our whatsapp group chat. I got to give a moment to my group leader, she is absoulty amazing, she is so helpful, and even when I texted her over a few simple questions she would answer and give some good suggestions, even when I did not even know what to put. The group leader would not just help me but help everyone in the group and give everyone else amazing suggestions. The leader was not the only one who did amazing, all the other group members put all of their energy and time to make this presentation worth it. I know all the members of the group put their part because in the whatsapp group chat everyone was asking questions or answering, and giving there own takes on different sub topics.

Overall each group and each presentation was amazing. Every group were informative, understandable, and all the presentation had good statices and facts. All the group had good feedbacks from the teacher, I remember seeing a few of the teachers comments and they were all really good.
